1 Firmware Pack

The firmware pack is a ZIP file that contains the modules and the features to install on your Mediatrix unit when a new release is available.

When unzipping the firmware pack, the content is extracted according to a pre-defined tree architecture. This creates a directory that contains the files required for the Mediatrix unit to properly upgrade its firmware.

2 New Functionalities

Incident #CR #SynopsisApplies To
Description

IN 12159

DGW-3820Add an option to automatically switch to the first caller when a second caller hangs up.FXS ports

During a call with a second peer (second call), when a SIP BYE is sent by the peer, two behaviors can occur depending on the value of the new EpServ.DefaultSecondCallDisconnectAction and EpServ.EpSpecificSecondCallTable.DisconnectAction parameters. If the parameters are set to

  • Wait: the end of call tone is played and the next action depends on the user. This is the default behavior.
  • AutoSwitch: a tone is played and the call automatically passes to the first peer.
---DGW-3234Add CWMP support for voice/data codecs parameters.all

Add CWMP parameters for all supported voice/data codecs which include G.711 a-Law, G.711 u-Law, G.726 16Kbps, G.726 24Kbps, G.726 32Kbps, G.726 40Kbps, G.729, T.38, clear mode, clear channel and X-CCD.

---DGW-2528Allow the administrator to remotely configure a subset of the telephony services with TR-069.all

The CWMP parameters for hold, call waiting, second call, transfer, conference, forward telephony services, and DTMF map configuration were added.

IN 11370

DGW-2169Support for a single file firmware upgrade.Firmware upgrade

It is possible to update the unit using a single file upgrade download. The multiple file firmware download is still possible.

  • Fpu.MfpSelection.MfpName
  • Fpu.MfpVersion
  • Fpu.MfpLocation
  • Fpu.MfpTransferProtocol
  • Fpu.MfpHostname

The parameter Fpu.MfpUrl used to configure single file updates for firmware upgrades should be used instead.

---DGW-3060Bandwidth control is not available on the Mediatrix Sentinel 400.Sentinel 400

Bandwidth control is now available on the Mediatrix Sentinel 400.

IN 11370

  • EpServ.CallWaiting
  • EpServ.SecondCall
  • EpServ.Transfer
  • EpServ.Conference
  • EpServ.Forward
  • EpServ.DtmfMap

DGW-1258The SBC Number of Active Calls parameter is not yet supported.Sbc service

4 Issues Fixed

Incident #CR #SynopsisApplies To
Description

DGW-4489Fix memory leak upon reception of HTTP requests.all

Fix memory leak upon reception of HTTP requests.

DGW-4481DHCP client memory leak when sending DHCP inform.all

Fixed memory leak in DHCP client.

DGW-4198Parameters used to configure multiple file transfer for firmware upgrades are now deprecated.all

Single file update is now supported by DGW for firware upgrade. Parameters used to configure multiple file transfer for firmware upgrades are now deprecated. The parameter used to configure single file updates for firmware upgrades should be used instead.

DGW-3994All interfaces have the same physical address in the SNMP's IfTable.all

SNMP's IfTable now contains the proper physical address for each interface of the unit.

DGW-3964The "Cancel Sensing" button does not work.ISDN and EAM

Using the "Cancel Sensing" button in the ISDN/Status and EAM/Status Web pages had no effect. The "Cancel Sensing" button in the "Automatic Configuration" group of the ISDN/Status and EAM/Status Web pages is now enabled.

DGW-3939Unable to change the clock reference source from Slot3/E1T1 to Slot2/E1T1.all

It was not possible to change the clock reference directly from Slot3/E1T1 to Slot2/E1T1. An intermediary setting had to be used to make it work. For example, from Slot3/E1T1 to none then from none to Slot2/E1T1. It is now possible to directly change the clock reference from Slot3/E1T1 to Slot2/E1T1.

IN 12298

DGW-3927Subnets larger than 24 are not used by the DHCP service.DHCP service

If the DHCP server on the Mediatrix gateway was activated and configured with a subnet that is larger than 24, it would revert back to 24 when validating the range. Therefore, only the first 256 addresses from a subnet where usable in the range, even when the subnet was larger. Subnets larger that 24 are now handled properly by the DHCP service.

IN 12283

DGW-3901The FXO port sometimes stops working on the Sentinel.Sentinel

On an incoming call, the Sentinel FXO port did not always detect the ring and would not answer the call until the Pots service was restarted. The FXO port now properly detects the ring. The interrupt controller was fixed to prevent interruption losses that caused the FXO port to stop working.

IN 12272

DGW-3873TAC traces were published in the CLI only if a remote host was set.all

TAC traces will now be published provided that they are enabled in Nlm service and that either the value for the Remote Host is not empty or that CLI logs are enabled.

---DGW-3060Bandwidth control is not available on the Mediatrix Sentinel 400.Sentinel 400

The system installed on the unit needed an additional module to support bandwidth control. This module was added.

---DGW-2643Unit uses locally configured network policies instead of applying the received policies.all

The unit sometimes fell in a state where it ignored the received LLDP-MED packets until the unit was restarted. The unit would therefore use locally configured network policies instead of applying the received policies. The restart logic of the LLDP service was fixed to accept LLDP-MED packets when a service is restarted.

IN 10280

DGW-2015System closes unexpectedly when a change requires the SipEp service to be restarted and the registration to be refreshed.CWMP

Receiving a command from the ACS that contains a change that requires to restart the SipEp service and to refresh the registration no longer causes the system to close unexpectedly.

DGW-1258The SBC Number of Active Calls parameter is not yet supported.Sbc service

The SBC Number of Active Calls parameter is now supported.

5 Known Issues

Incident #CR #SynopsisApplies To

DGW-5330Remote peers reject calls because of an "Unsupported type Media" error.SBC

In a SIP authentication scenario, the Sbc changes SRTP to RTP causing the remote peer to reject calls because of an "Unsupported type Media" error.

---DGW-3341Running Config page is empty after downgrading the Dgw software from version 35.657.Sbc service

After downgrading the Dgw software from version 35.657 to a previous version, the "Running Config" page is empty. This is caused by the "Reset dialog by 1xx replies" Ruleset action.

Before downgrading, delete the "Reset dialog by 1xx replies" Ruleset action.
