2 New Functionalities

Incident # CR # Synopsis Applies To
Description

DGW-10695 Add a Pause command to be used in scripts to insert waiting time. all

A new Pause command can now be used in scripts to insert waiting time. The command is "Pause XX" where XX is a value in seconds (maximum 300).

--- DGW-10400 The online help text displayed on the elements of the DGW Web pages must include the name of the parameter(s) related to that element. DGW Web pages.

The online help text displayed for an element on the DGW Web pages now includes the name of the parameter(s) related to the element.

For example the Online help of the Register field, located in the SIP/Registrations/Endpoint Registration table was:

will now be:

IN-13461

DGW-10391 The default value of the Conf.ScriptsDhcpOptionsFormat parameter is now AutoDetect. all

The default value of the Conf.ScriptsDhcpOptionsFormat parameter is now AutoDetect. For customers with non-default value in their profile, their default value stays the same.

IN-13855

DGW-10387 Increase the range of the SipEp.DefaultSessionTimerMinimumExpirationDelay and SipEp.DefaultSessionTimerMaximumExpirationDelay parameters. SipEp

The range of the SipEp.DefaultSessionTimerMinimumExpirationDelay and SipEp.DefaultSessionTimerMaximumExpirationDelay parameters is now 180..86400.

--- DGW-9975 The Ems service must support periodic provisioning. Ems

The Ems service now supports periodic provisioning using Virtuo.

The provisioning frequency can be configured for hourly, daily, or weekly provisioning, at a configurable date/time range.

Refer to the Reference Guide for more information on the following new parameters:

  • Ems.PeriodicProvisioningTimer
  • Ems.HourlyTimeRange
  • Ems.DailyTimeRange
  • Ems.WeeklyTimeRange

These new parameters are not available in the DGW Web interface.

--- DGW-9946 Add support of TCP Keep-Alive mechanism on SIP exchanges. SIP

For both Trunk and Endpoint gateways, a new Keep-Alive method is now supported. If the SIP gateway is configured for the TCP or TLS protocol, the TcpKeepAlive method can now be activated through the SipEp.SipKeepAliveMethod parameter. The new SipEp.SipKeepAliveRetry parameter was also added under SIP/Servers

--- DGW-9929 Endpoint gateways must failover on additional varieties of 5xx responses to INVITE transactions. SipEp

The SipEp.DefaultSipFailoverConditions and SipEp..GwSpecificFailover.SipFailoverConditions parameters had their syntax extended to support additional failover conditions for endpoint gateways:

  • 504OnInvite: Failover occurs when a 504 response is received to an INVITE. No condition on the content of the response.
  • 5xxOnInvite: : Failover occurs when a 5xx response is received to an INVITE. No condition on the content of the response.
--- DGW-6916 Add a new parameter to control the security level of the SSH connection for the CLI. Cli

The Cli.SshSecurityLevel parameter was added to allow the selection of three levels of security of the SSH connection for the CLI.

By default the SSH connection for the CLI uses a Standard security level, which is a good compromise between security and interoperability with SSH clients. The new SSH Security Level parameter is available under DGW Web interface/Management/Misc.

--- DGW-6915 Improve the security for the SSH connection of the Cli service. Cli

In DGW 44.2, the embedded SSH server for the Cli service has been upgraded to replace some unsecure ciphers by new secure ciphers.

Moreover, the support of DSA host keys has been removed, in favor of ECDSA host keys. The RSA host keys are still supported.

--- DGW-9946 Add support of TCP Keep-Alive mechanism on SIP exchanges. SIP

The SipEp.SipKeepAliveMethod parameter was updated: the new TCP Keep- Alive value was added.

The new SipEp.SipKeepAliveRetry parameter was added under SIP/Servers

DGW-10391 The default value of the Conf.ScriptsDhcpOptionsFormat parameter is now AutoDetect. all

The default value of the Conf.ScriptsDhcpOptionsFormat parameter is now AutoDetect. For customers with non-default value in their profile, their default value stays the same.

IN-13865

DGW-9582 Under some circumstances when a VM is present and multiple PRI channels are active,  some RTP packet loss is observed. Sentinel 400
  • Improved the Ethernet driver on S400
  • Increased the network priority on S400
--- DGW-6916 Add a new parameter to control the security level of the SSH connection for the CLI. Cli

A new SSH Security Level parameter is available under DGW Web interface/Management/Misc.

Some old SSH clients software may no longer be able to connect to the Cli service due to a default configuration that is more secure than previously. If that is the case, there are two options:

  • Media5 recommends using a recent SSH client software.
  • Or the Cli.SshSecurityLevel parameter can be configured to Permissive from the Management/Misc DGW Web page.
--- DGW-6915 Improve the security for the SSH connection of the Cli service. Cli

Some old SSH clients software may no longer be able to connect to the Cli service due to the removal of the DSA/DSS keys. Media5 recommends using a recent SSH software to connect to Mediatrix units.

On the first SSH connection following the upgrade to DGW 44.2, the SSH client software will likely ask again to trust the Mediatrix unit. This can be prevented by configuring the SSH client software to prioritise a RSA host key algorithm before the ECDSA algorithm.

4 Issues Fixed

Incident # CR # Synopsis Applies To
Description

IN-13430

DGW-10649 When the unit is started, the execution of the configuration script may fail if provisioning from an ACS is executed during the same interval of time. all

When the unit was started, the execution of the configuration script could fail if provisioning from an ACS was executed during the same interval of time. This happened when both systems were using the same user and competing for setting the configuration of the unit. When the unit is started, if a script is executed, all Set operations via TR-069 are now blocked until the script is completed in order to avoid having two methods configuring the unit at the same time.

--- DGW-10646 On the Configuration Scripts Web page, a "#" appeared for no reason in the URL and, in some cases, the page would not refresh. all

On the Configuration Scripts web page, the "#" no longer appears and the page can be refreshed.

IN-13865

DGW-9582 Under some circumstances when a VM is present and multiple PRI channels are active,  some RTP packet loss is observed. Sentinel 400

Sometimes, when a network packet burst occurs, the Mediatrix S400 drops some packets internally instead of sending them to the network interface. RTP packets are now all sent to the network interface.

5 Known Issues

Incident # CR # Synopsis Applies To

DGW-11052 Unable to upload configuration scripts if the login password is saved in the Web browser. all

When a user logs to the Mediatrix via the DGW Web page and chooses to have the Web browser to save and remember their password, this may cause Password or Privacy Key fields to be mistakenly filled by the Web browser, using the login credentials.

This may cause the upload of configuration scripts through the Web browser to fail because DGW tries to decrypt the file with the Privacy Key automatically filled with the login password.

This may also cause the download of configuration scripts from the Web browser to be automatically encrypted with the login password, unknowingly to the user.
